We are fulfilling our promise to deliver powerful e-government services and provide valuable information about the community while making your interactions with us more efficient, convenient, and interactive.  As an anonymous viewer you can view building permit information (i.e. history) and check status of applications for parcels in the Town's jurisdiction.  The public can view pending and issued building permits from November, 1993 forward via the web.  Building permit history prior to November, 1993 is available to view via Laserfiche at the Town Building Division Counter Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.   As a Registered User, the Town's new Online Permitting System is your link to apply, pay for, and receive select types of Residential PermitsIn addition to these permit types, registered users can now use two new ‘Pre-application’ types to begin the application process for any other type of Building permit (residential or commercial) or  a Planning permit/project. You will find additional information about these new processes on the individual ‘Building Permit’ and ‘Planning’ pages. To schedule an inspection, you must register.  If you are in a County pocket, please contact Santa Clara County Building Department at (408) 299-5770.  Design/Professionals, Contractors and Town of Los Gatos' legal property owners can register to use the system to create any of the above permits on the online Permits System.  Contractors can obtain online permits (Register online) and must have a current Business License with the Town in order to obtain permits.

We trust this will provide you with a new, higher level of service that makes living and working in our community a more enjoyable experience.
